A controlled explosion was carried out in Croydon this morning in what was a two-hour police operation.
The Met Police were first called at 8.46am on Thursday morning to reports of a suspicious vehicle on Dingwall Road, near East Croydon station.
Due to the proximity of the station, people were evacuated and trains stopped running to East Croydon for more than two hours.

People in nearby buildings were also evacuated due to the bomb scare.
Pictures from the scene show hundreds of people on the streets as a large cordon was put in place, with specialist officers also at the scene.
At some point near 10.30am, a bomb disposal robot was called in.

Shortly after 11am the Met confirmed that a controlled explosion had been carried out and the vehicle was declared non-suspicious.
Police went on to add that the vehicle had been stolen. There have been no arrests made at this point.
Following the explosion, East Croydon station was re-opened to passengers and trains were once again able to call there.
