Met Police in Southfields have asked residents to secure their homes following reports that a man was seen trying to break into a property.
According to police reports, a male was seen attempting to open a door on Revelstoke Road after he smashed a paine of glass from front door before putting his hand through the letterbox.
Social media post credited to @MPSSouthfields on Twitter.
A statement posted online by Met Police Southfields said: "There have been a few incidents over the past few days, a male described as wearing a hi-viz jacket and a hat
"Please make sure all windows and doors are locked and alarm set if you have one.
"Also .. Vision in the Village along Replingham Road was broken into overnight with suspects smashing the glass door, please all remain vigilant and call police if you see anything suspicious!!"
