Road closures in Wimbledon after emergency services discover a body lying on the road

Durnsford Road in Wimbledon is closed because a body was discovered in the early hours of this morning.

According to emergency service reports - Met Police Merton and the London Ambulance Service (LAS), were called to Durnsford Road between Plough Lane to Penwith Road at around 5:40am.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene and there were no reports of any vehicles at the location.

Officers from the Met's Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating alongside colleagues from the South West BCU.
