Surrey Road Policing Unit (RPU) are investigating after a driver smashed their car into a wall near Leatherhead before abandoning it.
Surrey RPU tweeted about the incident late on Sunday (January 12).
Their post featured a remarkable view of the crashed vehicle — its front tires and grill were crushed inwards and its bonnet popped open.
A pile of rubble seemingly from the wall or bollards the car appears to have crashed into also littered the scene.
A spokesperson said that the destructive crash happened north of Leatherhead on the A24.
"The driver of this car ran out of talent and hit the wall...literally.
"Too embarrassed about their inability to drive, they legged it.
"Enquires ongoing," Surrey RPU said.
