A Shirley dentists has re-opened following an 18-month refurbishment.

The grand opening at Gentle Dental Care was attended by everyone from patients, to staff to the mayor of Croydon.

Run by Dr Kam Sachdev, he said the vision was to expand the centre with "patients’ needs in mind."

"By providing painless dentistry to a high standard we outgrew the previous facility and required more space for patients to enjoy modern dental care," he said at the opening.

"So far, our patients have been very impressed with the facilities we have, I am looking forward to inviting new patients to see what we have to offer.”

The centre has been located in Shirley Road for more than 40 years.
