Police are on the lookout after a gang of youths reportedly assaulted staff members of a Worcester Park shop.
A resident reported to the Sutton Guardian that earlier this week, a gang of youths had carried out numerous visits to Central Road.
"Until today, by and large, their visits have passed off without any major incident," the person said.
"But over the course of today (Friday), the situation has radically changed.
"Earlier this evening, around 5pm, Police were called to Central Road, after receiving reports of the gang confronting and threatening staff in a shop.
"Fortunately a mobile police unit was nearby and officers were able to attend within just a few minutes. When a police siren was heard approaching, the gang rapidly disappeared on foot, down Caldbeck Avenue."
Police have confirmed they were called to the scene on Friday.
A Met spokesman said: "Officers were called to a shop on Central Road at 4.52pm to a report of an assault.
"No arrests have been made and enquiries continue."
