More than ten people managed to flee an 11-storey block when part of a four-roomed flat caught fire on The Waldrons in Croydon on December 17.
According to emergency service reports a flat that is situated on the eighth floor caught fire which led to 13 residents leaving the property before a Brigade arrived.
Around 25 Firefighters from Brixton, Croydon and Wallington and four fire engines attended the scene at 1:11pm and had managed to get the fire under control by 1:48pm.
Emergency service reports have also revealed that a woman and child were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation by London Ambulance Service crews.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
