Labour's Dr Rosena Allin-Khan has been re-elected as the MP for Tooting after she won the seat with 52.7 per cent of the vote and a majority of 14,307.

It was declared early on Friday morning that Allin-Khan will return as Labour MP for the constituency after she received 30,811 votes.

The Conservative candidate, Kerry Briscoe, came in at second place on election night, receiving 16,504 votes.

This was followed by Lib Dem Olly Glover in third place with 8,305 votes, and Glyn Goodwin of the Green Party in fourth with 2,314.

Brexit Party candidate Adam Shakir won 462 votes, and Social Democratic Party candidate Roz Hubley won 77 votes.

Turnout was 76 per cent.
