Police have quashed concerns of an early morning "ram raid" in Croydon.
A picture of the damage caused to a shop in Whitehorse Road was posted on Facebook on Wednesday asking if anyone knew what had caused it.
Quickly concerns were raised that it was an attempted ram raid gone wrong.
"Looks to me like robbery trying to rob the cash machine in the window of the shop," one person replied.
"Common to drive a tractor into cashmachines in the countryside, looks like a copycat attempt went wrong."
But police have now said it was nothing more than a crash.
"Very sparse details," a Met spokesman said.
"This is marked damage only road traffic collision rather than a ram raid. No other info."
