Police have released previously unseen CCTV footage today (December 10) in their ongoing investigation into the 2016 murder of Robyn Mercer in West Molesey.

Security camera footage appearing to show three people standing outside the (now closed) Lord Hotham pub in West Molesey was published by police Tuesday afternoon.

It comes as part of their ongoing investigation into the murder of Ms Mercer, who was found bludgeoned to death in West Molesey on March 14, 2016.

Six people have so far been arrested in connection to the murder, which is being investigated under the title "Operation Zebu".

No one has yet been charged.

The fresh footage released on Tuesday is the latest publicised development in the case since police carried out a warrant at a Thamesmead property on October 29.

Ms Mercer's family meanwhile released new images of her in the hope that it might help with the investigation into her killing.

Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Colin Pirie from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, said the police remained committed to bringing whoever was responsible for Ms Mercer's death to justice.

DCI Pirie described the former antiques dealer as "devoted" and a "loving and caring mother" as he appealed to the public for help with the case.

"This case remains an ongoing investigation for this force and we are as determined as ever to find those responsible for robbing a family of a loving and caring mother who was callously murdered outside her own property.

"Mrs Mercer was devoted to her son and daughter who have been through incredible emotional turmoil since her death.

"We need the public’s help to solve this case and allow her family to find some form of closure," he said.

DCI Pirie meanwhile said that identifying the men pictured in the newly released footage "could be absolutely vital" to the case.

"These people were in the area near to where Robyn was killed at a crucial time. I am appealing to the good nature of anyone in the area who may know these people to come forward and help us.

"These images were taken from CCTV outside of the Lord Hotham pub, which is now closed.

"These people could have been regulars or people that came in now and again. If you knew the pub or people that frequently went there, please share this with them," he added.

Police continue to urge anyone with information around the circumstances Robyn’s murder to call them on 101 or go online at https://mipp.police.uk/operation/4516K08-PO1 quoting Operation Zebu: "no matter how small, it could really make a difference" a spokesperson said.
