A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed on Woolwich New Road last night.

Police are appealing for information after they were called to reports of a stabbing in Woolwich at 6:16pm on Wednesday, November 27.

Met Police officers and the London Ambulance Service attended, and found a 17-year-old suffering from stab wounds at the scene.

The teenager was rushed to a south London hospital by LAS, and his condition is not life-threatening.

Police are appealing for information as they try to establish what happened and hunt for the attacker.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "Police were called at 18:16hrs on Wednesday, 27 November, to reports of a stabbing at Woolwich New Road.

"At the scene a 17-year-old male was found suffering from stab wounds. He was taken by LAS to a south London hospital where his condition is not life threatening.

"At this early stage there have been no arrests. Enquiries continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
