A man has been charged after following an arrest in Morden Hall Park last week.
Armed police were called to the area at 12.45pm on November 20 to reports of a man believed to be in possession of a firearm.
A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of a firearms offence and assault and was subsequently taken to a south London police station. Police have now revealed that David Pollard, 60, of Morden Hall Road, was charged with possession of an air weapon in a public place and actual bodily harm.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on Thursday, December 19.
