There will be no trains running in the Epsom area on Sunday (November 24), South Western Rail (SWR) said today.
All train services in the area will be replaced by buses, SWR said.
The closure of all lines in the area is due to key maintenance and safety work according to National Rail.
"All lines in the Epsom area will be closed all day Sunday for maintenance work and safety inspections," a spokesperson for train operators SWR said.
"Train services will run between London Waterloo and Ewell West.
"Buses will run between Ewell West and Dorking, also between Ewell West and Effingham Junction.
"The normal train service will run to and from Guildford via Surbiton and Cobham, connecting at Effingham Junction with the bus services," they added.
National Rail meanwhile advised weekend passengers to check route planners after 8pm on Friday.
"It is expected that the Journey Planner will be updated by 20:00 on Friday to show alterations for Saturday and by 20:00 on Saturday to show alterations for Sunday.
"On affected routes, journeys may be significantly altered and extended compared with the information shown in journey planners if you check before these times," National Rail said.
