Flying in the new Airbus A380 plane might not be as fun as some frisky passengers had expected after a warning issued by operator Singapore Airlines.

The company, which plans to start flying the planes in to Heathrow next year, has started publicly asking passengers not to join the mile high club' inside the mammoth plane.

The warning comes after passengers discovered the super jumbos' 12 private suites - which come with double beds - are not soundproof.

The airline said it did not want sexual goings-on to offend other travelers or crew anywhere within the plane.

"All we ask of customers, wherever they are on our aircraft, is to observe standards that don't cause offence to other customers and crew," Singapore Airlines said in a statement.

"Nothing different applies for our Singapore Airlines Suites customers."

Singapore Airlines is the first operator to use the new planes, flying between Singapore and Sydney from October 25.

It has ordered 19 of the planes, which it plans to use on the Singapore-Heathrow route.
