A Woman has been jailed for stealing more than £100 worth of alcohol.

Earlier this month, Tandridge Beat Police posted that yet another person had attempted to steal from the Caterham Waitrose.

"Another person who thought it was ok to try and walk out of a store without paying for £118 of spirits from Waitrose," the post read.

"She was detained by staff trying to leave.

"Due to previous offences and failing to appear she was charged and remanded for court."

That woman has now been named as Laura Shepherd of no fixed address.

She appeared at Surrey Magistrates Court on October 29 charged with theft from Waitrose in Caterham on October 4.

She received 10 weeks in prison and a victim surcharge of £122.
