Lambeth Council's 24-hour careline service has been praised in a recent inspection.
The service, which helps vulnerable and elderly people live independently in their own home, was scrutinised by the audit inspector for the Telecare Services Association (TSA) and achieved accreditation in all three parts of the inspection.
The service was commended for the level of customer care demonstrated and how well complex and sensitive situations were handled.
"This good news confirms the excellence of our careline system," said Councillor Donatus Anyanwu, cabinet member for health and adult services.
"Of the almost 300 TSA members in the country, only 26, including Lambeth Careline24, have achieved accreditation in all three parts of the code."
