Passengers travelling on the Southern Service are being warned to expect delays until 11am because of a signalling fault between Barnham and Chichester.
At present train operators on the Southern service are unable to operate to and from Chichester so they will be running a replacement bus service to run every 15 minutes from Barnham to Chichester.
During planned engineering work in the Barnham area, Network Rail engineers identified multiple signalling issues, traced back to a faulty cable.
Commuters hoping to travel between Barnham and Chichester are being advised to use the bus replacement service.
Passengers are also being advised to check prior to travelling as all services on the Southern line may be subjected to cancellations, delays and diversions.
