Tony Craig's Crystal Palace future could be in jeopardy after he was axed for the Monday night defeat to Watford.
The summer signing from Millwall was dropped in favour of 17-year-old debutant Lee Hills - and furthermore, Craig did not even make the bench for the visit of the Hornets.
After a promising start to his Eagles career under Peter Taylor, the 22-year-old left-back's performances have not been up to scratch of late and he paid for his poor displays on Monday.
Neil Warnock's decision to axe Craig has raised question marks over his future at Selhurst Park - but the former Sheffield United chief insists his days at Palace are not numbered - but admits he has to improve if he is to secure his Eagles future.
He said: "I dropped him because I just don't think he has been doing very well in the last few games and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to give the young lad Hills a game."
