Its owner and chef , Leo Dumikola, previously worked as the Head Chef of Rock & Rose in Kew before taking the initiative to fuse Asian and European cuisines together so that they could meet in the heart of the Sheen community.

When asked about his reasoning behind choosing the location, Mr Dumikola replied: “I wanted to open a restaurant in Sheen as I really enjoy the locality and it used to be my home.

“I always dreamed of opening a restaurant in the area as the community was close to my heart, I wanted to share my passion for food with the locals.”

The all-day dining menu ranges from a monkfish and prawn curry, to the Forty- Four veggie burger, and gnocchi with wild mushrooms.

Mr Dumikola’s previous experience also includes The Savoy Grill in The Strand, The Petersham Hotel and La Trompette in Chiswick.

There is also a mini bar and cocktail menu that boasts signature wines like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon as well as a cocktail menu that has signature flavours such as the Lychee Martini.

Both the food and drinks menus are priced between £3 to £23.

The restaurant's objective is to leave a lasting impression on its customers as well as hosting and attracting customers with events such as ‘Forty Four’s First Christmas’ menu and its ‘come enjoy and relax at our bar’ vibe.
