The Mayor of Richmond held a 'job talk' for members of the Rotary Club of Kew Gardens at a recent dinner event.

Councillor Nancy Baldwin attended the dinner meeting at the Coach & Horses Hotel in Kew Green at the end of last month where she gave an informal, fun and relaxed talk with 22 Rotary Club representatives and also answered their questions.

The club's president – Seni Kamikamcia, thanked the Mayor for joining the club in offering a 'Service Above Self' for the community.

The president then presented Cllr Baldwin with a cheque for £200 towards her chosen charities – Homestart and Otakar Kraus Music Trust.

But the gifts didn’t stop there for the Mayor as she was also presented with a pumpkin which was given to her by the chairman of the evening, Richard Ward, as a thank you present from the club.

Peter Berg – the Chairman for Kew’s Cricket Club was also handed a cheque for £300 towards the club’s ECB Clubmark accreditation scheme training for juniors.
