Two teens from Lewisham and Orpington who allegedly went on a credit card spending spree after burgling a Gillingham home have been charged.
Kent Police were called at around 8am of October 9 to reports of a break-in and car theft on Stafford Street.
A car key and wallet containing bankcards were allegedly stolen from the property and eight fraudulent transactions were subsequently reported using the stolen cards.
Following enquiries, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy from Lewisham and a 16-year-old boy from Orpington.
Both were charged with burglary, theft, eight counts of fraud and driving without a licence or insurance.
They were released on bail to appear at Medway Youth Court on Tuesday October 15.
