The Colliers Wood Ukulele Orchestra is raising money after one its band members suffering a heart attack.
The has been together for about 10 years and rehearse and play in and around the area, mostly doing community events.
But last year one of it members had a heart attack and spent "quite a while" in St George's Hospital.
"I think it's fair to say that the hospital's quick action in the early days saved his life," band member Gina Musa said.
"We decided we'd like to raise some money for the Cardiac Unit so are holding a music event with local bands and musicians (including ourselves) and a DJ.
"There's also a raffle, including prizes from local artists/businesses and our MP. We hope to raise around £2000."
The event is taking place on on October 26 at the Colliers Wood Community Centre.
So far the group have sold about one third of the tickets, which are being sold for £12.
