A 20-year-old man has died after he was stabbed in the chest following a street fight in Barnehurst.
Police arrested a 17-year-old on suspicion of attempted murder, having been called to Barnehurst Avenue following reports by the public shortly before 3pm.
The victim was rushed to an east London hospital by air ambulance, where he died at 5.27pm.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers were called at 14:48hrs on Sunday, 13 October to Barnehurst Avenue, Bexley, following reports of males fighting in the street.
"Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service.
"A 20-year-old man was found suffering from a stab injury to his chest. He was taken to an east London hospital, where he died at 17:27hrs.
"His next of kin are aware.
"Formal identification awaits. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course."
