Social Workers are being invited to attend Richmond’s ‘Adult Social Care Recruitment Fair,’ where they will have on-the-spot interviews.

Experienced Social Workers and post- ASYE Social Workers looking for a new role should attend the event which takes place on November 1 at York House in Twickenham where they will have the opportunity apply one of the many positions that will be on offer in Richmond and Wandsworth.

A social worker who attended a recruitment event earlier this year said: ‘’I am very glad to have made the move.

“One of the main reasons that I put off applying for a new job earlier is that filling social worker applications are very, very, very time consuming.

“At the event, I simply completed the written assessment, then was interviewed.

“I think I was in and out in about 2 hours.”

The recruitment fair will offer a range of roles which include working within the Social Work Locality Teams, Joint Reviews Team, Hospital Social Work Team and Learning Disability Team.

Interviews will take place in the day and there is also a possibility that candidates will be offered a position on-the-spot.

Councillor Piers Allen, Chair of the Adult Services, Health and Housing Committee, said: “We have many older people in our borough who rely on assistance and care provided by local council services.

“These residents’ quality of life depends on the expertise, professionalism and dedication of our wide care workforce.

“Richmond is a beautiful borough with a strong community ethos, and I am delighted to welcome anyone wishing to work with us to the Recruitment Fair, to find out how they can make a difference to our residents’ lives.”
