The Chairman for Richmond’s Business Improvement District (BID) helped the Borough’s businesses and residential communities to celebrate ‘Be Richmond's’ third anniversary.

Erick Kervaon attended the event on October 3, at the Richmond Hill Hotel to present local business owners with a ‘Be Richmond,’ [Richmond BID’s brand persona] video that showcased all the business achievements that the Borough has been making since 2016.

Chairman Kervaon said: “AGMs are important meetings, but they can be very formal and dull.

“Our aim for this meeting was to first comply with all the legal requirements and protocols and then engage with a broad cross section of our stakeholders to demonstrate three years of achievements in a friendly, informal open meeting.

“The event was a great success and feedback has been very positive.”

Guests were also entertained with live music from a local band called ‘Acoustik.’

Jason Debney from the Thames Landscape Strategy was also at the event as a guest speaker to talk about the 25 years his organisation has spent conserving and promoting the River Thames.

Mr Debney also explained how the work carried out by his company also aligns with projects carried out by ‘Be Richmond,’ and both Richmond BID and Thames Landscape Strategy agreed that the River Thames is one of Richmond BID’s greatest assets as it supports jobs, attracts visitors, has leisure facilities and shows off Richmond to a bigger audience.
