School pupils learnt lessons about the environment at Bushy Park as part of an event to encourage eco-contruction awareness.
Royal Parks, ConstructionSkillsand the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust held the two-day event last week for year nine and ten pupils to teach them about park management and sustainability.
The activities centred around the Bushy Park Restoration Project including environmental and ecology issues.
Students worked as a team to solve challenges such as designing a new visitor centre and then building it with rolled up newspaper.
An event spokeswoman said: "The event involved local young people with the Bushy Park Restoration Project and raised awareness of park management and development.
"The event was one of a range of events taking place as part of National Construction Week designed to encourage young people to think about sustainability as an integral part of construction."
