A Christmas charity shop selling ‘Cards for Good Causes’ will open in Richmond next month to coincide with the organisation’s 60th birthday.

A team of volunteers will open the shop at St Mary Magdalene Church on Church Walk in Richmond on November 8.

Hundreds of Christmas cards will be sold as well as advent calendars, candles, wrapping paper, gift tags, napkins, stocking fillers and Christmas card designs that have scenic points of Richmond.

When asked about ways through which people could raise money for charities over the festive period, Kandy Kiedaisch, a Cards for Good Causes shop manager said: “Buying charity Christmas cards is one of the simplest ways to support good causes this festive season and we stock one of the widest ranges of Christmas cards anywhere.

“The proceeds from every card or product sold make a vital contribution to the work of the charities that we partner.

“Come and find us in St Mary Magdalene Church on Church Walk and get ahead in your Christmas preparations by getting your cards early.”

The hard work and efforts given by volunteers have helped to raise money for over 250 charities which include Cancer Research UK, Barnardo’s, NSPCC, Alzheimer’s Society and RNLI as well as a number of local charities such as The Children’s Society, Home Start and The 1959 Group of Charities.

The Christmas charity also represents 300 pop-up shops which have raised an excess of £100 million for charities over six decades.

The shop will be open from 10am to 3.30pm.
