Here’s how we rated Charlton’s players in their victory against Leeds United:

1.Dillon Phillips 7/10: Looked shaky from a few balls into the box the first half. However, he recovered well making an important save late in the first half. Made a massive save in the dying seconds to keep it at 1-0.

3. Ben Purrington 6/10: Kept Costa very quiet for large portions of the game. Also made some great overlapping runs down the left-hand side. Final ball could be improved.

5. Tom Lockyer 9/10: Fantastic all-round defensive performance. Controlled the back four, was composed playing out from the back and contributed towards the first goal. Put his body on the line multiple times when holding on late in the second half. MOTM performance.

7. Jonny Williams 7/10: Most creative player on the pitch in the first half. Looked dangerous every time he was on the ball, always looking for a forward pass. Took a slight knock early in the 2nd half which led to him being subbed off, putting a slight dampener on a positive first half performance.

11. Conor Gallagher 7/10: Pressed very high and showed great work rate sprinting after every ball. Didn’t have many chances to show his attacking ability but when he did, he looked dangerous. Not afraid to put a tackle in either, helped protect the back four well.

14. Jonathon Leko 6/10: Very eager to run at defenders and use his blistering pace. He helped Solly out defensively down the right-hand side, making an important block in the first half. His final ball, however, could improve.

15. Darren Pratley 6/10: Composed on the ball and set the pace for attacks. However sometimes sat too deep giving Leeds far too much time on the ball. A fantastic block to prevent a goal in the 2nd half was crucial.

17. Macauley Bonne 8/10: Impeccable work rate, chased every ball. Showed great hold up play with not a lot of service. Was in the right place at the right time to take his goal, a classic poacher’s goal. Forced off injured late on which was a real shame after a great performance.

20. Chris Solly 6/10: Gave Harrison very little freedom on the wing, keeping him quiet for most of the game. Too narrow at times but barely put a foot wrong.

23.Naby Sarr 5.5/10: Looked the most likely to make a mistake out of the back four. Very keen to drive out from the back which sometimes left the defence exposed. Not a bad performance but definitely the shakiest of the defenders.

24. Josh Cullen 6/10: Was kept very quiet first half, however played in a good corner for first goal. His set pieces caused problems consistently but wasn’t really able to create much from open play.

6. Jason Pearce n/a: Bought on for the last five minutes to sure up the defence, did well in what became a back five.
