An air ambulance was called in to land in New Addington after a 5-year-old boy was hit by a van.
The collision took place in Merrow Way at around 3.35pm yesterday afternoon (September 27), with the van stopping at the scene.
A spokesman for the Met Police confirmed that the boy’s condition was not life-threatening and that no arrests were made.
The spokesman said: “Police were called at approximately 3.35pm on Friday, September 27 to reports of a van in collision with a child in Merrow Way, New Addington.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the child, a five-year-old boy, was taken to a south London hospital for treatment; his condition is not life-threatening.
“The van stopped at the scene.
“No arrests; enquiries continue.”
