Families who struggled to feed their children during the summer holidays were offered a 'summer kit' from Richmond Housing Partnership (RHP).

RHP launched its 'Rays of Sunshine' campaign and teamed up with Waitrose in Twickenham to provide bags of food to residents who struggled to eat during spring/summer.

The scheme has managed to successfully help more than 30 families.

Councillor Jim Millard, the Tenants Champion for Richmond, said: “I’m delighted to see this initiative from RHP.

"The summer holidays can be a difficult time for families to make ends meet, particularly without school meals as part of the picture, so it’s great that RHP have been thinking creatively about ways they can help their residents most in need, and it’s wonderful that Waitrose have partnered with them to make this happen.”
