Here is how Millwall's players rated in their 1-1 draw with Hull City:

Bartosz Bialkowski –  6

Should have done better with Grosicki’s freekick. No goalkeeper should be beaten from 40-yards.

Mahlon Romeo –  7

The threat of Grosicki and Bowen meant that the defender did not get forward as much as he would have liked. Albeit, he defended well and carried out another consistent performance.

Jake Cooper – 7

Quelled the threat of Magennis with ease and looked assured in possession.

Alex Pearce –  8

Made a last-ditch sliding tackle on Bowen in the first-half which epitomised his performance. A solid display.

Murray Wallace – 7

Carried out a defensive masterclass but failed to contribute offensively which ostracised Mahoney and Wallace on the flanks.

Connor Mahoney –  6

After a blazing start to the season, the winger’s performances have been adequately unappetising of late.

Ryan Leonard – 6

Provided an engine in the middle of the park but the midfielder needs to do more than run his socks off. He failed to link up play and provide a different dimension to Millwall’s play.

Ben Thompson – 7

Playing in a traditional central role seems to restrict the academy graduate from unleashing his qualities. However, he did a job and is probably still the first name on the team sheet for Neil Harris.

Jed Wallace – 8

Smashed his penalty straight down the middle and injected that flamboyant style of play which Millwall was lacking during his three-game suspension.

Matt Smith –  7

Done everything but score today. Won his duels, held up the ball well and won the penalty for Millwall’s opener.

Tom Bradshaw –  7

Chased lost causes all afternoon and turned them into something. It was a discredit to his work ethic that those somethings amounted to nothing.

Subs:

Jon Dadi Bovarsson – 7

Come on and made an impact. Seems to have regained match sharpness and is itching for a Championship start.
