A tram driver stood up to antisocial yobs last night by refusing to continue the journey until they turned down their loud music.
Speaking to passengers on the Wimbledon to New Addington service, the driver said the music being played through the teen's mobile phone was causing a distraction.
Stopping the tram at Waddon Marsh at 9.10pm he said: "I'm not willing to risk the lives of my passengers by driving while distracted.
"I won't continue the journey until the music is turned off."
After a minute's wait the music was turned off and the driver continued.
