POLICE dashed to a Purbeck beauty spot at the weekend after reports that a man had been spotted with a handgun.
Officers were called to West Lulworth at 9.05am on Saturday, August 24.
A spokesperson from Purbeck Police said: "Officers attended and a 32-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm in a public place and possession of a controlled drug class B.
"He is helping officers with their enquiries."
Thousands of people headed for the coastline at the weekend as temperatures soared to 26c.
