Police have nabbed a chocolate thief who was caught riding a stolen moped in Croydon.
A spokesman for the Met said that “at approximately 1.35pm on August 22, officers stopped a moped on Mardell Road.
“The moped had been reported stolen on August 20 from the SE19 area.
“A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of theft and dangerous driving. He was taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.
“The vehicle has been returned to his owner.”
But the story didn't end there.
Taking to Twitter to share the news, the Met Task Force shared a few more details.
The tweet said they apprehended the "Willy Wonka wannabe" after he made off on the moped.
On him, they found a "large quantity" of chocolate.
It added that CCTV footage from local shops showed him "pinching all the chocolate."
