A pupil from Whitton has been dubbed as a ‘numbers whizz’ thanks to her ability to answer all questions correctly in a maths challenge.
The pupil from Nelson Primary School took part in the Hampton School Math Wizard online challenge – a challenge set up by Hampton School’s Maths Department that has been designed to engage young mathematicians.
Mathematical questions were uploaded to the school’s website on a weekly basis.
Isabella was announced as the spring term winner along with two other pupils and she was awarded a trophy that was handed to her by maths teacher, Mrs Hannah Clark.
In total, 53 entrants entered the primary school challenge from various schools, which is aimed at instilling a love of Maths and helping youngsters develop their problem-solving skills.
The Maths Wizard Challenge is running throughout the summer and any primary school child can take part.
