An appeal has been launched after a miniature digger was stolen from a school in Walton.

The bright orange digger with ‘T Laughman’ printed on the side was stolen from Cleves Junior School on July 22 between 10pm and 11pm.

The suspects drove the digger out, causing criminal damage to a fence and concrete bollards.

They then headed in the direction of Oatlands Chase, Ashley Road or Queens Road before driving it to Weybridge where the digger was located.

Surrey Police managed to locate the vehicle in this case due to it being fitted with a tracking device.

Police have since released a CCTV picture of the suspects.

"We also would like to speak to any witnesses who may have seen the digger being stolen and have any further information which could help us with our investigation," a police spokesman said.

"The two suspects were wearing shorts, t-shirts, baseball caps and gloves."
