A residential Croydon road has been shut by police following reports that man had threatened to harm himself.
Officers shut off Spring Road shortly before 3pm this afternoon as they attended the scene where concerns were raised for the distressed man.
A Met spokeswoman said: "Police were called at approximately 2:45pm on Friday, July 26 to reports of a male threatening to self-harm on Spring Lane, SE25.
"Emergency services attended and the male was taken to hospital."
The road is reportedly still shut between St. Luke's Church and Woodside Fire Station.
A number of bus routes have been diverted, including the 130 and 312.
