Face-to-face council services in Sutton are relocating from the civic offices to the central library as part of a pilot project.

The Council says the change will make it "easier and more convenient for residents and others to visit," and will improve the provision of both services.

The civic offices will remain open for any self-service queries, booked appointments and access to meeting rooms.

However, there will be no customer service staff in this area, so visitors will need to go to the civic reception area in the library if they need help.

While the library will remain open from 9am to 8pm on weekends, the civic reception will only be available 9am-5am Monday to Friday, as before.

The trial will run throughout August, ending September 30.
