A tram has been named in memory of a transport enthusiast who died following a car crash.
Stephen Parascandolo, creator of the Unofficial Tramlink Website, died following a head-on crash in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, on February 7.
In a ceremony on Saturday - which would have been Stephen's 27th birthday - Tramlink's general manager Roger Harding paid tribute to the Brunel University graduate.
He said Stephen's site, croydon-tramlink.co.uk, had been innovative, knowledgeable and influential.
Stephen's parents Hilary and Peter, who live in West Wickham, and his brothers Mark and James, attended the ceremony at Beckenham Junction to see the plaques that will be placed at either side of the tram in Stephen's memory.
Tram 2535 was chosen to bear the plaque as it was the first commissioned tram to enter the streets of Croydon on May 10, 2000, a journey Stephen was present to see.
