A 25-year-old man accused of the murder of a heavily-pregnant woman and the manslaughter of her baby son in Croydon will appear in court later today.
Kelly Mary Fauvrelle, 26, was eight months' pregnant when she was killed in the bedroom of her home in Thornton Heath June 29.
Her baby son, named Riley by relatives after paramedics delivered him at the scene, died in hospital four days later.
Aaron McKenzie, of Peckham Park Road, Peckham, was arrested on Thursday and taken to a unnamed central London police station.
Early on Sunday, Scotland Yard confirmed that McKenzie faces a further charge of possession of an offensive weapon.
Ms Fauvrelle's whole family was at home during the attack and relatives reported hearing her screams at around 3.30am.
Two other men had previously been arrested on suspicion of murder.
A 37-year-old was released with no further action and a second, aged 29, has been granted bail until early August.
McKenzie is due to appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Monday before he will be sent to a Crown Court to enter pleas.
