A 20-year-old caught carrying a hunting knife was arrested just 400 metres from where a man was stabbed to death last week.
Tweeting out the news, Wandsworth Police said: "Last night (July 8) a 20-year-old male was arrested for handling stolen goods following a foot chase in Battersea.
"Whilst detained, a police dog searched the area and found this hunting knife.
"Consequently, the male was further arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon."
