Controversial music festival Eastern Electrics is returning to Morden Park next month and we have got all the details of what party-goers need to look out for.

The two day event will kick of on Saturday, August 3 with acts such as MK, Skream, Big Narstie, Ocean Wisdom and Nadia Rose.

A statement put out by festival organisers BigBox said this year's event would include two new stages and even a pool party.

"The Plant House, another new addition for EE will be headlined by Redlight, alongside Special Request whilst garage and grime specialist Royal-T and Digital Mystikz’s own Coki join the line-up," it read.

"Meanwhile, BBK crew member Preditah and Marcus Nasty will also be bringing their unique, bass heavy sounds.

"For the first time ever, the festival will be hosting its very own pool party stage with the iconic Ibiza Rocks as they present Cuckoo Land. Hannah Wants will be headlining fresh from her warm-up set on the EE main stage alongside, PBR Streetgang house music’s finest Waze & Odyssey, Huxley and Max Chapman.

"Once again Ministry of Sound is taking over this year’s VIP stage - soundtracking the day are house music duo Infinity Ink, Paul Woolford whilst Belfast’s own Ejeca is on hand with genre-defying selections."

The festival has come under scrutiny in recent years, with the 2018 event attracting 400 complaints on a dedicated helpline.

At a council meeting earlier this year, protesters said that festival attendees "defecated, urinated, vomited and performed sexual acts in the church yard" during the 2017 showcase.

But despite these concerns, Eastern Electrics was granted permission to proceed.

Tickets to the event start at £50 for Saturday and £25 for Sunday with a weekend ticket going from £67.50.
