Children are invited to take part in a world-leading obstacle course being held in the Twickenham Stadium in Autumn.

The Spartan Race takes place November 23, and is open to children aged between four to fourteen years.

The event is ideal for young adventurers and rugby fans that want the chance to climb and crawl over obstacles as well as tackling the sandbag carry and spear-throwing.

Sam Lansdale, Spartan General Manager for UK and Ireland said: “We are all absolutely thrilled to bring the Spartan Stadion race to this iconic location. Twickenham is steeped in history and it’s incredibly exciting to be able to hold the first ever obstacle event here.”

There will also be a 5km obstacle course race for parents who don’t want to miss out on the action and has been designed to be the perfect distance for those competing in their first obstacle course race or the experienced racer who is looking to race against the clock.

Mr Lansdale added: “We are dedicated to making healthy the new normal for the next generation through our kids' obstacle course races.

"We want kids to run, climb, jump and get active. It is set to be a fantastic day out for all the family, and we can’t wait to welcome those taking part to Twickenham stadium.

"There will be a real festival atmosphere to keep everyone going right to the finish line.”

The event, which Spartan are expecting to be a sell-out, with over 4,000 people heading to South West London to take part, will be a great day out for all the family.

There will be food and drink on offer throughout the day and spectators are also welcome, ensuring friends and family can cheer on their loved ones as they tackle the course.
