A woman was knocked down in Colliers Wood in the early hours of this morning by a 'drink driver'.
Officers were called at 3.40am this morning to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian on High Street in Colliers Wood.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended.
The 24-year-old pedestrian was taken to a south London hospital where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
The driver failed to stop at the scene but was arrested a short time later on suspicion of drink drive. He has been taken to a police station where he remains in custody.
Enquiries continue.
