Six people have been arrested following the fatal stabbing of a teenager in Wandsworth.

The six males (no further details) have been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to separate west London police stations for questioning.

Police were called to Deeside Road at 4.42pm on June 14 following reports of a stabbing.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a male, believed to be aged in his late teens in a critical condition.

He died at the scene a short while later.

A crime scene remains in place and police are appealing for anyone with information on what happened to call them urgently on 101 quoting CAD reference 5877/14June.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

Formal identification awaits. Police are in the process of informing the victim’s next of kin.

The Homicide and Major Crime Command will be leading on this investigation in close partnership with police in Wandsworth.

Local residents can expect an enhanced police presence in the area.
