Detectives investigating the murder of a 46-year-old martial arts instructor in Battersea have charged two more men with his murder.

Officer were called to Charlotte Despard Avenue just after 4.32pm on Saturday, May 25, where Iderval da Silva was found suffering from a head injury.

He was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away on Tuesday, May 28.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged on Wednesday, June 5.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 6, and was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on July 10.

A 17-year-old boy was also arrested and charged with murder on Thursday, June 6, and will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court later today.

Previously, Jaden Richards, 19 and of Strasburg Road, Wandsworth, was charged with murder on the evening of Friday, May 31.

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, June 1 and has been remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey.

A separate 16-year-old male appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, May 31,charged with murder. He later appeared at the Old Bailey on and has been remanded in custody (next appearance date awaits).

Another 16-year-old boy was arrested near to the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm on the day of the incident. He was taken to a west London police station and has been released under police investigation.
