A Thamesmead vet's surgery has announced it plans to shut up shop for good by the end of the week.
Vets4Pets, located in the Cannon Retail Park, posted the sudden announcement on their Facebook page last week, informing customers that their last day of practise will be this coming Friday.

"Please accept our sincere apologies for any distress and inconvenience this may cause.
"Letters will be sent to all clients to inform them and help with any questions regarding their ongoing pet care.
"We will endeavour to make the process as smooth as possible for our clients. "If you would like to re-register with another surgery or request your patient history, please visit our
online portal.
"For any enquiries please email client.enquiries@vets4pets.com. We wish you and your pets the very best for the future."
Local resident and former Vets4Pets customer, Daniela McGhie said that she was sad to see another Thamesmead business bite the dust, noting that this was a convenient option for elderly pet owners.
"It’s a loss because there are so many elderly and people with pets and it was so easy to get to with no parking issues.
"I hope the grooming parlour won’t close which is right next door," she said.
