A man who was arrested thanks to the help of an "eagle-eyed" resident has been charged by police.

Jonathan Sinclair, 37, of no fixed abode has been charged with interfering with five motor vehicles on Selwyn Avenue, Richmond and is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on May 14.

Kew Police took to Twitter on April 28, saying they had arrested somebody, before North Richmond provided the update this past Saturday.

Kew Police described the area Sinclair was arrested in as a "car crime hotspot."
