Kingston Police are hosting a fun community day event at AFC Wimbledon's stadium today.

The event has been dubbed "Together" and features a range of family-friendly activities put on by Kingston MPS, AFC Wimbledon, Kingston Council and other community groups.

Describing the event on Twitter, Kingston MPS listed a host of local organizations taking part and urged residents to come along.

Kingston MPs said: "Come and see The Police , St Johns ambulance , Police cadets , RNLI , Kingston Mencap , Kingston Council Housing and the Neighborhood Community Rangers."

Among the range of activities and events on offer during the afternoon included a football shooting challenge put on by AFC Wimbledon, a virtual reality experience run by Kingston MPS and a remarkable display of police vehicles through the ages.

Attendees were also given the chance to meet and chat to police officers, and spend time with police dogs.

The event was scheduled to run until 3pm on Friday at the The Cherry Red Records Stadium AKA Kingsmeadow Stadium.
