Unsurprisingly there were contrasting opinions from both managers on the main talking point from the London derby.

The 0-0 result may prove to be a crucial point for both sides in their fight for survival but Neil Harris believes it could’ve been more had referee John Brooks taken his view of the incident.

Brooks waived play on when QPR’s Joel Lynch looked to have felled Millwall’s Lee Gregory 25-yards out on 15 minutes when the forward was through on goal following a long Ryan Tunnicliffe free-kick.

“I thought it was a foul,” he said.

“I’ve seen it from different angles, and the more you see it the more you can debate it, but sometimes you need you’re better seeing it at real time with a football brain.

“I’ve said to the referee afterwards that anytime the player gets between the other player and the ball and there’s coming together it’s a foul.

“It doesn’t matter if he’s the last man, first man, at the other end, it doesn’t matter, it’s a foul.

“A red card? It’s debatable, but I don’t know, was it accidental? I don’t know the rules anymore.

“What I will say is that they went down the other end and James Meredith made a great last-ditch tackle, which I think would’ve incensed the locals if that had gone in.”

QPR’s caretaker manager John Eustace quashed suggestions that Lynch’s tackle was anything other than good defending.

“It was a great tackle,” he said.

“You see it every week from Millwall players here.

“But it showed the commitment from our guys.”
